Tanishq Expands U.S. Footprint with First New England Store in Westborough, Massachusetts

Tanishq, India's prominent jewelry brand, has officially opened its first New England location in Westborough, Massachusetts. This marks the brand's 10th store in the United States and signifies a strategic expansion into a region with a significant Indian diaspora.

New Showroom and Offerings

The new 4,000-square-foot showroom, located at 303 Turnpike Road, first opened its doors on December 4, 2025, and celebrated its grand opening on March 6. The Westborough store offers an extensive collection of over 5,000 designs, featuring a wide array of bridal, festive, and everyday jewelry. The designs represent a blend of traditional Indian craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics, catering to diverse customer preferences.

Strategic Expansion and Market Focus

The choice of Westborough is strategic, aiming to serve the nearly 40,000 Indian households in Massachusetts and neighboring states like New Hampshire and Connecticut. Tanishq aims to provide a convenient and elegant destination for Indian fine jewelry, offering an alternative to the traditional South Asian business hub in Edison, New Jersey.

Grand Opening Celebration

The grand opening celebration was a cultural affair, featuring a ceremonial ribbon cutting, traditional lamp lighting, a classical Bharatanatyam dance performance, and a fashion showcase highlighting Tanishq's collections. The event was attended by various dignitaries and community leaders, including Raghuram S., Consul General of India; Massachusetts State Senator Michael Moore; Westborough County Representative Mark S.; and Town Coordinator Laura Crawford.

The Consul General's office noted that the opening of the 10th store in the U.S. in recent years underscores the expanding presence of leading Indian brands in the American market.
