Jewelry brand Sorellina has launched its new 'Bloom' collection, a vibrant array of 11 pieces designed to embody the spirit of peace, love, and effortless beauty. Inspired by the iconic flower power movement of the 1960s and 1970s, the collection reimagines floral motifs with a modern and powerful aesthetic.

Floral Motifs and Gemstone Artistry

Co-founder and designer Nicole Carosella explained the inspiration behind the collection: “Bloom draws inspiration from the flower power movement of the 1960s and ‘70s, when flowers became symbols of peace, individuality, and cultural change. That era used beauty as a form of expression and resistance, which really resonated with us,” she said. “With this collection, we wanted to capture that same sense of optimism and freedom while giving the motif a modern, powerful presence.”

The collection prominently features inlay designs that artfully showcase a variety of gemstones. The centerpiece, a large 'Bloom' inlay pendant, boasts eight gemstone petals: turquoise, malachite, mother-of-pearl, tiger’s eye, purple jade, chrysoprase, pink opal, and yellow opal. Smaller pendant variations highlight one of these eight gemstones, complemented by diamond accents.

Carosella detailed the selection of stones, which includes Sorellina’s favored malachite and chrysoprase, alongside new additions like purple jade. The inlay technique was specifically chosen to create a graphic, mosaic-like effect, emphasizing the natural colors of the gemstones. “We wanted the flower to feel bold and expressive rather than overly delicate, and the strong color combinations reinforce that spirit. Pairing the stones with gold inlay also adds dimension and texture, giving each piece a tactile quality that makes the design feel dynamic and alive,” Carosella added.

A Blend of Color and Gold

Beyond the intricate inlay work, the 'Bloom' collection also includes pieces crafted entirely from 18-karat gold. These sculptural earrings and rings are adorned with both marquise and round diamonds, offering a more minimalist yet equally striking aesthetic.
