Sissy's Log Cabin Opens Eighth Store Inside Arkansas Casino Resort

Sissy’s Log Cabin, a family-owned jeweler serving the Mid-South since 1970, has expanded its retail footprint with the opening of its eighth store inside the Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This new boutique marks a significant return to the jeweler's roots, as Pine Bluff is also the location of Sissy’s original store, founded by Sissy Jones.
A Full-Circle Moment in Pine Bluff
The new location at Saracen Casino Resort is described as a strategic move to align with the casino's focus on providing a high-end gaming and hospitality experience. Carlton Saffa, chief market officer at Saracen Casino Resort, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, 'We see Sissy’s as the ‘Tiffany’s of the South’—their brand is interwoven into the fabric of Pine Bluff and Arkansas. Having Sissy’s as part of Saracen allows us to offer the property’s more than one million annual guests something you’d see in Las Vegas, all while remaining distinctly Arkansas.'
Bill Jones, CEO of Sissy’s Log Cabin, echoed this sentiment, calling the opening a 'full-circle moment'. He emphasized the opportunity to bring their fine jewelry and customer service to a high-energy environment. 'We’ve always believed fine jewelry should be part of life’s biggest moments, and we’re proud to grow with Pine Bluff while helping guests mark everyday joys and once-in-a-lifetime milestones,' Jones said.
Unique Boutique Design and Strategy
The Saracen boutique is Sissy’s smallest retail space, measuring approximately 450 to 600 square feet. Despite its size, the design by architect Jesse Balaity aims to reflect the brand's signature warmth and hospitality while complementing the resort's energetic atmosphere. Wood tones, reminiscent of the original log cabin store, are incorporated alongside brighter blues.
A key feature of the boutique is its strategic placement and design, allowing jewelry cases to face into the casino floor. This allows passersby to view the merchandise from outside, encouraging spontaneous visits from casino patrons and hotel guests. Jones noted that the store aims to capture customers celebrating wins or special occasions, offering them a memorable purchase opportunity. 'It’s different than normal, but it’s fun to bring them in from the outside,' he commented.
The boutique will feature a curated selection of fine jewelry, with a focus on higher-end pieces and men's merchandise. The sales strategy will emphasize one-on-one customer interaction, leveraging the direct visibility from the casino floor. The store also plans to accept casino chips as payment, adding a unique convenience for guests celebrating winnings.
Expanding Presence
The Saracen Casino Resort boutique is Sissy’s Log Cabin’s eighth storefront. In addition to the original Pine Bluff location, the jeweler operates stores in Little Rock Heights, Little Rock Promenade, Jonesboro, Conway, Fort Smith, and Memphis, Tennessee. The opening of the casino boutique coincides with the ongoing expansion of the Saracen property, which includes a new hotel tower and event venue.
The grand opening, held on July 17, was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by founder Sissy Jones, Sissy’s customers and staff, representatives from Saracen Casino, and members of the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce.
