Rapaport, a leading authority in natural diamond pricing and market data, has unveiled a comprehensive company-wide rebrand. The initiative aims to consolidate its diverse services—including pricing, trading, market intelligence, auctions, and news—under a single, unified brand. Central to this transformation is the rebranding of its online diamond and colored gemstone trading marketplace, RapNet, which will now be known as Rapaport Trade.

A Unified Ecosystem for Diamond Professionals

The rebrand signifies Rapaport’s evolution from a collection of individual business units into a cohesive, interconnected ecosystem designed to streamline operations for diamond professionals. Rapaport Trade will serve as the central hub, integrating the Rapaport Price List, market intelligence, and access to a vast network of over 1.8 million natural diamonds.

According to Dan Mano, CEO of Rapaport, the market is evolving, and industry professionals require tools that keep pace. “Bringing pricing, trading, news, and market intelligence together under one platform helps professionals work faster and make better decisions,” Mano stated. “Rapaport Trade is the practical result of that.”

The transition is designed to be seamless for existing RapNet members. All user accounts, network connections, direct chats, and active inventory listings will remain unchanged, requiring no action from users.

Enhanced Tools and Technology

Rapaport Trade will introduce several new data-driven tools to improve efficiency in inventory management and sourcing. Among these are:

  • Rapaport SellerIQ: An analytics platform that provides sellers with insights into how buyers engage with their inventory across the network.
  • Rapaport Polaris: A supply-and-demand pricing dashboard offering manufacturers and suppliers visibility into cutting and sourcing decisions, supported by live market data.
  • Rapaport Polaris Inventory: Tracks how a seller’s diamonds are priced and aging compared to similar stones on the platform, highlighting inventory needing attention.

The company is also embracing a more technology-based and data-driven approach, leveraging modern AI-assisted coding workflows. This allows for the faster development and release of new features and product enhancements. Rapaport is also developing a new AI agent, featuring a large language model similar to ChatGPT or Google Gemini, designed to serve as a comprehensive assistant for dealers, jewelers, and manufacturers.

“Diamond professionals need to move fast, and they cannot do that if they are forced to bounce between disconnected tools to check pricing data, vet suppliers, and source stones,” explained Benzi Kluwgant, Chief Marketing Officer at Rapaport. “RapNet is now Rapaport Trade because we are harnessing the resources and data of Rapaport, integrating our core technologies into a more powerful sourcing workflow. We are giving the industry a practical sourcing engine where pricing intelligence is connected to the ability to buy and sell natural diamonds directly, with no middlemen.”

Commitment to Natural Diamonds

A core tenet of the rebrand and Rapaport’s mission remains its unwavering commitment to the natural diamond industry. Rapaport Trade will continue to be exclusively dedicated to natural diamonds, reinforcing the company’s mission to safeguard the prosperity of the natural diamond economy and promote ethical sourcing throughout the global supply chain.

The unified Rapaport ecosystem, including the transition to Rapaport Trade, was set to be showcased at the JCK Las Vegas show, with CEO Dan Mano discussing the company’s strategic direction during the annual Rapaport Breakfast presentation.
