De Beers Group has announced the appointment of Jillian Wolk as the new Chief Executive Officer of Tracr, the company's blockchain platform dedicated to tracking diamonds through the supply chain. Wolk's tenure officially begins on May 1, 2026. She succeeds Wesley Tucker, who departed at the end of February after a five-year period focused on scaling the Tracr platform.

A Leader with Deep Industry Roots

Wolk brings a wealth of experience from senior leadership roles across the jewelry, luxury, and technology sectors. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Growth and Strategic Initiatives at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). In her four years at GIA, Wolk was instrumental in developing new services, driving diversified revenue streams, strengthening the lab’s commercial strategy, and supporting significant industry-wide grading initiatives. Her close collaboration with the Tracr team during her time at GIA has provided her with a deep understanding of the platform and its mission.

“Jillian brings a strong combination of industry knowledge, commercial leadership, and strategic insight,” stated Paul Rowley, Executive Vice President of Diamond Trading at De Beers Group. “Her insights across jewelry, technology, and governance, together with her background working with Tracr, provide her with a wealth of valuable experience to lead the business into its next phase.”

Extensive Background in Operations and Innovation

Prior to her role at GIA, Wolk held significant executive positions within the jewelry and technology industries. She previously served as Vice President of Business Operations at Swarovski U.S., where she oversaw multiple business lines and led key operational and brand initiatives across the Americas. Her expertise spans commercial leadership, legal and governance matters, and technology-enabled innovation, positioning her to guide Tracr effectively as it continues to develop trusted and scalable traceability solutions.

Tracr's Vision for Transparency and Trust

Wolk expressed her honor in joining Tracr, viewing the platform as a “vital storytelling tool for the diamond industry.” She emphasized Tracr’s growing importance in fostering trust, transparency, and confidence throughout the diamond pipeline. “I look forward to working with the team and industry partners as the platform continues to develop and scale,” Wolk commented.

Based in New York, Wolk will work closely with Tracr’s global team and its network of stakeholders. The development of Tracr began in 2018, with a wide rollout of the platform occurring in 2022. De Beers Group, a leading diamond company established in 1888, is committed to innovation and sustainability, with Tracr representing a key component of its strategy to enhance the diamond value chain through technology.
