Felice Korr Morris, Matriarch of Delaware's A.R. Morris Jewelers, Dies at 91

Felice Korr Morris, the beloved matriarch of a Delaware family business with a six-decade history, passed away on January 11 at the age of 91. Co-founder of the esteemed A.R. Morris Jewelers, Morris was celebrated for her dedication to family, her customers, and her community.
A Life of Partnership and Passion
Born in Philadelphia on February 3, 1934, Felice Korr Morris was the middle child of Rae and William Korr. She began her career in the public eye as a fashion model and makeup artist, even achieving the distinction of being a Miss Pennsylvania runner-up. Her life took a significant turn in 1962 when she met Albert Morris. Their enduring partnership, both in life and in business, spanned over 60 years.
Together, Felice and Albert established A.R. Morris Jewelers in Greenville, Delaware. The business, which started on Market Street, grew into a thriving and respected establishment, becoming a source of pride for the Morris family and the wider community. A cornerstone of their success, according to their family, was their philosophy of treating every customer like a member of their own family.
A Cherished Family Matriarch
While A.R. Morris Jewelers stands as a testament to her professional achievements, Felice Morris found her most profound joy in her role as a mother and grandmother. She was a devoted mother to her children Stacey (Brian), Bret (Elisa), and Wendy (David), and a doting “Mommom” to her grandchildren Ben, Harry, Sophie, Jake, and Cole. Her family remembers her as being born to nurture, cherishing her role as the family's matriarch.
Beyond her family and business, Felice had a zest for life. She enjoyed playing cards, creating beaded jewelry, and was fond of classic black and white movies. She loved shopping trips with her daughters and cherished moments spent at the beach or by her pool, especially when surrounded by her family.
Remembering Felice Korr Morris
