Clientbook Launches Event Management Module to Streamline In-Store Events for Jewelers

Centralized Platform for Planning, Promotion, and Sales Attribution
Clientbook, the clienteling operating system tailored for independent jewelers, has unveiled its new Event Management module. This innovative tool is designed to empower retailers to meticulously plan, effectively promote, and accurately measure the success of their in-store events, all from a single, intuitive dashboard. The module aims to simplify a process often hampered by disparate tools and manual tracking, providing a unified workflow for event success.
Simplified Event Execution
The Event Management module allows jewelers to define specific event audiences using tag-based filters, schedule personalized outreach campaigns, and share dedicated booking links and QR codes. Retailers can track appointments and attributed sales in real time, gaining immediate insights into event performance. Clientbook emphasized that the module was developed to enable store managers to create and launch an event campaign in under ten minutes, eliminating the need for a dedicated marketing team, developer assistance, or a separate booking application.
Common event types that can be managed include trunk shows, designer appearances, VIP previews, open houses, and seasonal promotions like Mother's Day or holiday events. These gatherings are recognized as significant drivers of traffic and sales in the fine jewelry sector, yet the logistical complexities of their planning have historically been a challenge.
Addressing Past Inefficiencies
Todd Ericksen, vice president of product at Clientbook, highlighted the inefficiencies of previous methods. “We watched our best retailers run events using half a dozen disconnected tools—a spreadsheet for the invite list, one app for texts, and another for booking, and POS after the fact to guess what sold,” Ericksen stated. “Event Management collapses that into one flow. You pick the audience, write the messages, share the link, and the dashboard tells you exactly what happened. Associates get a focus list instead of a group text, and owners get attribution instead of anecdotes.”
Brandon Wright, CEO of Clientbook, echoed this sentiment, particularly in the context of high-traffic holidays like Mother's Day. “Mother’s Day is one of the two or three biggest revenue days a jeweler has all year, and most of our retailers are still pulling invite lists together in a spreadsheet the week of,” Wright said. “That’s exactly the problem Event Management solves. A store owner can sit down tonight, pick their top clients, schedule two reminder texts, share a QR code, and walk into Mother’s Day weekend with a full appointment book and a clean line of sight on every sale that came out of it. Less chaos, more bookings, and for the first time, real ROI numbers they can actually trust.”
Comprehensive Feature Set
The Event Management module is built upon Clientbook’s existing infrastructure for audience management, messaging, appointments, and sales attribution. Key features include:
- Audience Targeting: Utilizes existing tag-based filters for precise audience segmentation, allowing for inclusions (e.g., 'Top 20%', 'Designer Name Client') and exclusions (e.g., 'Do Not Contact'), with filters for store, contact method, and last-contacted date.
- Dynamic Audiences: Audiences automatically update as client data changes, ensuring that the correct clients receive outreach even if tags are modified after an event is created.
- Scheduled Outreach: Messages are directly linked to specific events with defined delivery dates and times. Some versions may also include pre-send cost estimates for outreach.
- Booking Links and QR Codes: Generate dedicated appointment pages that are easily shareable via email, text, social media, or printed signage.
- Multi-Date, Multi-Store Events: Supports running the same event across different locations on various dates, with specific assignments for each venue.
- Live Event Dashboard: Provides real-time visibility into audience size, contact rates, appointments booked, and attributed sales.
- Associate Focus List: Equips sales associates with a personalized list of clients to contact, including last-contact dates and booking status, with one-click actions for messaging, activity logging, appointment scheduling, and audience exclusion.
- Past Event Archives: Stores comprehensive data from concluded events, serving as a benchmark for future planning and analysis.
Availability and Support
The Event Management module is available immediately to all Clientbook customers on the Elite plan. Retailers who have Appointments enabled and their store hours configured can begin creating events through the Events tab. Clientbook is offering extended customer support hours through May 9 to assist jewelers in setting up their Mother's Day campaigns. Further details, including setup guides and best practices, are accessible on the Clientbook website.
