Buddha Mama and Ashley Longshore Host Exclusive Pop-Up in Dallas Featuring ‘Moon’ Locket

A Celestial Collaboration
Jewelry brand Buddha Mama, led by the mother-daughter duo Nancy and Dakota Badia, is partnering with artist Ashley Longshore for a special pop-up event in Dallas. This collaboration marks a significant moment for Buddha Mama, as it is their first trunk show hosted within another artist's exhibition. The event will feature Buddha Mama's exquisite 'Moon' locket, a standout piece from their 'Celestial Love' collection.
The Inspiring ‘Moon’ Locket
The 'Moon' locket is a one-of-a-kind creation, meticulously crafted from 20-karat yellow gold. It features intricate moon and star motifs, enhanced by marquise- and round-cut diamonds, all encircled by pavé diamonds. Adding to its allure, a diamond-encrusted star suspends from the locket, complemented by a marquise diamond drop below. In total, the locket boasts an impressive 10.34 carats of diamonds. Designed with personal sentiment in mind, the locket opens to reveal space for three cherished images.
Nancy and Dakota Badia shared their inspiration, stating, “We are very drawn to lockets, and so when this piece was being conceived by us, we thought we could take it to the next level and make it [into a] locket.” The 'Celestial Love' collection itself is a heartfelt homage to Nancy’s mother and Dakota’s grandmother, who instilled in them a deep appreciation for nature and the stars.
A Unique Artistic Partnership
The collaboration between Buddha Mama and Ashley Longshore is a natural alignment of artistic visions. Both women share a passion for vibrant colors and bold designs, and they approach their work with a sense of joy and individuality. Longshore, known for her distinctive art, typically sells her work directly, while Buddha Mama’s jewelry is traditionally available through select retailers like Jo Latham in Fort Worth and other shops nationwide.
This pop-up offers a unique opportunity for consumers to acquire pieces from both artists in a single, curated setting. “We are excited that you get to experience it in such a magical environment with Ashley Longshore,” the Badias commented.
