The Modani Jewels group, which includes Soham Diamonds and S.N.J. Creations, has announced the appointment of Andrea Lucille Pooler as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). With a career spanning over 25 years in the jewelry sector, Pooler brings a wealth of experience in strategic leadership, operational management, and a deep understanding of both the artistic and business facets of the fine jewelry industry.

A Career Forged in Jewelry

Pooler's extensive background encompasses manufacturing, retail, and wholesale channels. She has a proven track record of integrating creative direction with data-driven strategies to foster growth and purpose within jewelry companies. Her journey in the industry began as a bench jeweler and designer, followed by the ownership of her own retail jewelry store. This hands-on experience provided her with intimate knowledge of craftsmanship, design principles, and the critical importance of customer experience.

Prior to her new role, Pooler held senior operational positions at a major B2C e-commerce jewelry brand, where she was responsible for production, logistics, customer success, and process optimization for high-volume operations. More recently, as Principal Consultant at Hill & Co., she guided comprehensive business transformation and strategy projects for a diverse clientele, including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and designers. Her consulting work covered areas such as operations and process improvement, financial strategy, branding, merchandising, technology implementation, and team development.

Industry Leadership and Advocacy

Beyond her executive roles, Pooler is an active and influential figure in the jewelry community. She currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of THE SOURCE for the Community for Ethical Jewelry and is the Chair-head of the Women's Jewelry Association NY Metro Chapter. Her commitment to community is further demonstrated by her volunteer work as a jewelry appraiser for a retail hospice store.

A vocal advocate for education, mentorship, networking, and leadership, Pooler is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to succeed in an increasingly interconnected and transparent jewelry ecosystem. She is a regular contributor to industry publications and a sought-after speaker and educator, having presented at prominent events such as JCK Las Vegas, various international jewelry trade shows, and engagements with the U.S. Small Business Administration and entrepreneurship associations.

Upcoming Engagements

Pooler is slated to present two talks at the upcoming JA New York show. On March 15th at 1 p.m., she will discuss 'AI without the Overwhelm,' and on March 16th at 1 p.m., her presentation will be 'Curate Less, Run Lean: Why Merchandising and Operations Must Move Together.'

A Strategic Appointment for Growth

Sumit Modani, CEO of Modani Jewels, expressed his enthusiasm for Pooler's appointment: 'Modani Jewels is pleased to welcome Andrea Lucille Pooler as its new Chief Operating Officer, strengthening the firm's leadership team as it continues to scale operations and accelerate growth. Pooler brings extensive operational and strategic experience and will play a key role in driving Modani Jewels, Soham Diamonds, and S.N.J Creations next chapter of expansion.'
